- On the 14th of June last, near Jackson, Tennessee, Mr. Robert CARL of this village. He has left an affectionate wife and a number of small children to deplore his decase [sic]

- Fatal Accident: – Mr. Charles BARTON, a few days since, at the Steam Furnace, where he has been employed for some time, was accidentally caught in part of the Steam works and bruised and mangled in such a manner as to cause his death in a short time.

Died:–On Wednesday last, Mr. John NELSON, of this vicinity. The death of the deceased was occasioned by the falling of a tree, which fractured his skull and otherwise dreadfully mashed and bruised his body.
